How to maintain and service the filter

The consumable parts of a diesel generator set include three types of filters: air filter, oil filter, and fuel filter. To extend the service life of the diesel generator set, during use, maintenance of these three filters should be strengthened to fully utilize their functions. 
For paper dust cup air filters, the dust should be removed every 50-100 hours of operation. A soft brush can be used to brush off the surface dust. If the operating time exceeds 500 hours or the filter is damaged, it should be replaced promptly. For oil bath air filters, every 100-200 hours of operation, the filter element should be cleaned with clean diesel fuel, and the oil should be changed. If the filter element is broken, it should be replaced immediately. Ensure that the oil is added according to regulations during use. If the oil filter in a diesel generator set is not maintained in time, the filter element will become clogged, the oil pressure will increase, the safety valve will open, and the lubricating oil will flow directly into the main oil passage, which will accelerate the wear of the lubricating surface and affect the service life of the diesel generator set. Then, the diesel generator should be run at low speed for 3-5 minutes, and the cleaning oil should be drained and new engine oil added.
