Amazing word filter, do you know how harmful the inferior ones are?
China's automotive filter industry has numerous manufacturers, with a mix of highly automated mass production and small-scale workshop production primarily relying on manual labor. This results in uneven quality among filter manufacturers, a chaotic auto parts market, and a proliferation of counterfeit and substandard filters. Filters are meant to remove harmful impurities, ensuring engine operation under various conditions and achieving the specified service life. However, these counterfeit, especially low-quality filters, fail to provide the necessary quality, causing various harms to the engine. Common issues include:
First, the use of low-cost, impure filter paper in filter element production. Due to the large pore size, poor uniformity, and low filtration efficiency of this paper, harmful impurities cannot be effectively removed, leading to premature engine wear.
Second, the use of low-quality adhesives in insufficient quantities. These adhesives are not oil-resistant and fail to provide secure bonding, causing short circuits at the filter element bonding points; or the use of staples to connect filter element seams, leading to poor sealing and short circuits. Harmful impurities enter the engine, reducing its lifespan. Replacement or internal seal failures lead to internal short circuits, causing premature engine wear. External seal failures lead to swelling and deformation, resulting in oil leakage from the outer ring. The use of ordinary rubber instead of oil-resistant rubber in the manufacturing process causes significant oil leakage in a short time, leading to burned bearings, engine damage, and serious damage to the axle.
Third, the use of thin, low-strength central tubes in oil filters. Blockages or ruptures in the oil filter cause insufficient engine lubrication, poor reliability, and the opening of seams during operation. Significant oil leakage occurs in a short time, leading to burned bearings and seized shafts.
Therefore, it is recommended that users exercise caution when replacing filters. Using original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts is advisable to avoid unnecessary economic losses.
